Texas HB5335 amends the Property Code to require sellers to provide a written statement about water service for lots of five acres or less in counties with a population over 500,000 and adjacent to an international border. The statement must be in English and Spanish, printed in 14-point bold or capital letters. If the seller fails to provide this statement, the purchaser can terminate the contract within seven days of receiving notice or the transfer date, whichever is earlier. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
