The Texas Energy Waste Advisory Committee is created to coordinate and improve state agency and interagency programs aimed at reducing energy waste, increasing energy efficiency, and enhancing demand response programs to boost the reliability of electric service in the ERCOT power region. The committee, composed of seven ex officio members from various state agencies, will provide recommendations to these agencies and organizations. The committee will meet quarterly and report to the legislature annually.
