The bill establishes the Local 9-1-1 Response Fund as a special fund in the state treasury. The fund will receive money appropriated by the legislature, gifts and grants, and investment earnings. Grant recipients must follow a contract ensuring the division has control to achieve the public purpose and the state receives benefits. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
