Texas HB5256 amends the Election Code to establish rules for the number of polling places in certain counties. It requires counties with populations over 1 million to set up additional early voting polling places in each state representative district. Counties with populations between 120,000 and 1 million must establish additional early voting polling places in each commissioners precinct. Counties with populations between 100,000 and 120,000 must set up additional early voting polling places in each precinct for special elections.
