Requires local and interjurisdictional agencies to allow public comment on emergency management plans, excluding sensitive information.
This bill amends the Government Code to require local and interjurisdictional agencies to provide a reasonable opportunity for interested persons, including those with disabilities, to submit data, views, or arguments about emergency management plans, orally or in writing. This requirement does not apply if the plan contains sensitive information relating to critical infrastructures or facilities. The agencies must also consider fully all written and oral submissions. The bill takes effect September 1, 2025.
