Texas HB5206 amends the Health and Safety Code to allow the commission to notify public drinking water systems that obtain their water from underground sources no more than 24 hours before conducting water quality testing. This notice is to investigate a complaint related to the water quality of the public drinking water supply system. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
