Texas HB5025 amends the Penal Code to establish a criminal offense for carrying on the premises of a public library a partially or wholly visible location-restricted knife, club, or prohibited weapon, or a handgun, regardless of whether it is holstered or carried under legal authority. This law takes effect on September 1, 2025.
