Texas HB4966 amends the Transportation Code to allow the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to deny access to the database of dealer-issued license plates to dealers found to be fraudulently obtaining license plates or sets of license plates. The department must notify the dealer electronically and by certified mail before denying access. A dealer denied access may request a hearing on the denial. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
