Texas HB4798 amends the Health and Safety Code to require compliance reviews for assisted living facilities before construction or modification is completed. It also allows facility constructors or modifiers to request life safety code surveys before finishing construction or modifications. The executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission must adopt rules to implement these changes. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
