HB4761 amends the Texas Human Resources Code to create the summer electronic benefits transfer for children program. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission, in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Department of Agriculture, will develop and implement the program. Eligible children, defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 1762(c)(1)(A) or (B), will receive benefits through an electronic benefits transfer card or another electronic method, usable only for purchasing food.
