HB4506 modifies the Local Government Code to allow electronic delivery of notice for certain municipal zoning changes. The governing body of a municipality or a zoning commission must provide written notice of public hearings regarding zoning changes. This notice can be sent via U.S. mail or electronically. If the property is within 200 feet of the proposed change, notice must be sent to the owner. For changes affecting residential or multifamily zoning, notice must also be sent to the school district.
