Texas HB4255 amends the regulation of physicians and the disciplinary authority of the Texas Medical Board by modifying the conditions under which the board may refuse to issue or revoke a medical license. The board may refuse to issue a license if the applicant had a license revoked in another state for reasons that would warrant revocation in Texas. The board shall revoke a license if the holder had a license revoked in another state for similar reasons. The board may issue a license to a person convicted of a nonviolent property felony if certain conditions are met.
