Texas HB420 modifies meeting requirements for certain water district boards.
Texas HB420 amends the Water Code to allow certain water districts to conduct quarterly meetings via telephone or video conference calls. This applies to districts in counties containing part of the Cedar Creek Reservoir and bordering a county with a population of 2.6 million or more. However, meetings to discuss tax rates must still be held in person. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
