Texas HB4075 amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow a peace officer charged with an offense allegedly committed under color of employment to request a change of venue. The judge must order a change if the defendant meets these conditions. The change in law applies only to defendants charged with offenses committed on or after the effective date of this Act. If the bill does not receive a two-thirds vote, it takes effect September 1, 2025.
