Texas HB4072 amends the Government Code to mandate the State Commission on Judicial Conduct to evaluate the potential cost savings for the state of relocating headquarters of certain state agencies currently located in Travis County or adjacent counties. The evaluation must consider leasing or purchasing costs, moving expenses, market value of current property, and other relevant factors over a 10-year period. If the commission determines that relocation would create a cost saving, the state agency must move to the location determined by the commission. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
