Texas HB4032 modifies the election process for trustees of countywide junior or community college districts with populations over 1.18 million in counties with populations over 2.5 million. The bill sets the election date for these districts as the first Saturday in April of even-numbered years. If a runoff election is necessary, the board may schedule it to coincide with city runoff elections, or otherwise within three weeks of the regular election. The bill also repeals a section of the Education Code and takes effect September 1, 2025.
