This bill amends the Occupations Code to exempt certain reserve peace officers from regulation as private security personnel. Specifically, it excludes reserve peace officers performing duties for a state agency or political subdivision, peace officers responding to burglar alarms, and individuals engaged in electronic monitoring. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
