Texas HB3992 amends salary schedules for regional planning commissions based on the number of participating governmental units.
Texas HB3992 modifies the Local Government Code to adjust salary schedules for regional planning commissions. For commissions serving fewer than 200 participating governmental units, the salary schedule for classified positions cannot exceed the state salary schedule as prescribed by the General Appropriations Act. These commissions may also adopt a salary schedule that is less than the state salary schedule. For commissions serving 200 or more participating governmental units, the salary schedule for classified positions is determined by the commission itself.
