Texas HB3669 amends the definition of "firearm" in the Penal Code to exclude antique or curio firearms manufactured before 1899 and replicas of such firearms that do not use rim fire or center fire ammunition. It also excludes less-lethal projectile devices, defined as weapons designed to temporarily incapacitate a target while minimizing serious injury or death. These changes apply only to offenses committed after the Act's effective date of September 1, 2025.
