Requires public hospitals to report quarterly on charity care provided.
This bill amends the Health and Safety Code to require public hospitals to prepare and publish a quarterly report on charity care. The report must include the number of financially and medically indigent patients served and the amount of money spent on charity care. The requirement does not apply to quarters beginning before October 1, 2025. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
