Local governments can contract with other local governments, the state, or the federal government for water research or planning.
This bill amends the Texas Government Code to allow local governments to enter into interlocal contracts with other local governments, the state, or the federal government for water research or planning activities. The bill takes effect immediately if approved by two-thirds of the members in each house, otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2025.
