Texas HB3205 permits the commissioners court of a county with a population of 500,000 or more to adopt a housing first initiatives fee. The fee must be adopted at an open meeting and itemized in the county's annual budget. The fee is paid by a person at the time they pay a fee under Section 118.011(a)(1) or (2). The fee is deposited in a separate housing first initiatives account in the general fund of the county.
