Texas HB2982 amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to prohibit peace officers from using less lethal projectiles, such as rubber bullets and bean bag rounds, for crowd control. Each law enforcement agency must adopt this policy by January 1, 2026. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
