Texas HB2950 amends the Government Code to expand the jurisdiction of the 2nd Multicounty Court at Law to include concurrent jurisdiction with district courts. It also amends the Human Resources Code to change the composition of the juvenile boards in Bee, Live Oak, and McMullen Counties to include the judge of the 2nd Multicounty Court at Law. The changes apply to cases filed or proceedings commenced after the effective date of the Act. If the Act receives a two-thirds vote, it takes effect immediately; otherwise, it takes effect September 1, 2025.
