These improvements include high-efficiency heating systems, air conditioning demand response technology, heat pumps, insulation, radiant barriers, smart thermostats, water heaters, electric vehicle charging technology, high-efficiency windows, and sealing or resealing of doors and windows. The exemption applies to properties completed before January 1, 2011.
