Texas HB2782 amends Section 12.106(d) of the Education Code to revise funding for open-enrollment charter schools. Charter holders will receive funding per student in average daily attendance, calculated based on the guaranteed level of state and local funds per student and the lesser of the state average interest and sinking fund tax rate or a rate ensuring total funding does not exceed $60 million. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
