Texas HB2522 amends the Transportation Code to change fingerprinting requirements for dealer general distinguishing numbers. It applies to persons who apply for or hold a dealer general distinguishing number for 10 or more locations. The bill allows the department to require a complete set of fingerprints from one manager or bona fide employee for all locations within 100 miles of their regular place of work. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
