Automatic nondisclosure orders for certain misdemeanor defendants after completing deferred adjudication community supervision.
This bill establishes automatic orders of nondisclosure for criminal history record information for certain misdemeanor defendants who successfully complete a period of deferred adjudication community supervision. It applies to individuals who were placed on supervision for a misdemeanor other than specified offenses, have completed at least 180 days of supervision, and meet other criteria. The Texas Department of Public Safety will identify eligible individuals and notify the relevant courts, which must then issue nondisclosure orders.
