Texas HB2341 amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to award diligent participation credit to defendants in state jail felony facilities. This credit applies to defendants who participate in educational, vocational, treatment, or work programs. The credit cannot exceed one-fifth of the defendant's original sentence and is not awarded during periods of disciplinary status. The changes apply to offenses committed on or after the effective date of the Act, which is September 1, 2025. The Act also repeals Articles 42.0199 and 42A.559(g) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
