Texas HB2322 amends the annual base salary for district judges and other court officials. It sets the annual base salary for a district judge or a division of the business court at least at $140,000, adjusted by the Consumer Price Index. The combined base salary from all state and county sources may not exceed $5,000 less than the maximum combined base salary. The chief justice or presiding judge of an appellate court receives $2,500 more than other justices or judges. The changes apply starting with the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2027.
