This bill amends the Water Code to exempt certain dams or reservoirs from the permit requirement of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality if they are operated and maintained for erosion, floodwater, and sediment control. Specifically, a qualified local sponsor may construct or maintain a dam or reservoir with normal storage of not more than 200 acre-feet of water without a permit.
