Directs the Electric Reliability Council of Texas to develop a reliability plan for the Permian Basin region.
The bill amends the Utilities Code to direct the Electric Reliability Council of Texas to develop a reliability plan for the Permian Basin region. The plan must be created by an independent organization certified under Section 39.151 for the ERCOT power region and updated every five years. The bill also repeals a previous provision added by Chapter 892 (H.B. 5066) of the 88th Legislature. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
