Texas HB2109 amends the Water Code to require the executive administrator to remove a proposed reservoir project from the state water plan if construction has not begun within 50 years of its inclusion. This applies to projects listed in the plan for 50 years or more. Once removed, the project cannot be included in future versions of the state water plan. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
