Texas HB1939 amends the Education Code to offer a four percent credit to school districts that prepay for attendance credit under the public school finance system. This credit applies if the district elects to pay for credit in the manner specified by Section 49.154(a)(2) and completes the payment by February 15 of the school year. The credit reduction is applied after any other reductions the district is entitled to under Section 49.157 or another provision of the chapter. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
