Allows certain off-highway vehicles to operate on certain roadways.
This bill amends the Texas Transportation Code to allow the operation of certain off-highway vehicles on specific roadways. It applies to recreational off-highway vehicles with side-by-side seating and utility vehicles. These vehicles can be operated on highways with a speed limit of 65 miles per hour or less, provided they are not interstate or limited access highways and display a license plate. The act takes effect immediately if approved by two-thirds of the members in both legislative houses, otherwise it will take effect on September 1, 2025.
