This bill amends the Occupations Code to expand the duties of a master electrician in Texas. A master electrician can now perform all electrical work and electrical design work, including work done by a master sign electrician. They can also supervise electricians, verify on-the-job training compliance for certain licenses, and serve as master of record for an electrical sign contractor. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
