Allows honorably retired peace officers to serve as armed security officers at public schools.
This bill amends the Education Code to allow honorably retired peace officers to serve as armed security officers at public schools. The definition of "honorably retired peace officer" is provided by Section 614.121 of the Government Code. The changes will take effect on September 1, 2025.
