Texas HB1773 amends the Education Code to allow the board of trustees of certain school districts to create a nonvoting student trustee position. This student trustee can attend and participate in board meetings but cannot vote or affect the outcome of any votes. The board determines the student trustee's appointment process and term. This provision applies to school districts not covered by Section 11.0511. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
