Mona's Law allows cremated pet remains to be interred with human remains in Texas cemeteries.
Mona's Law permits perpetual care cemeteries in Texas to allow the cremated remains of a deceased individual's pet to be buried in the individual's casket, in a separate grave, or in a columbarium. The law also allows information about the pet to be included on the individual's memorial. It prohibits euthanizing a pet for the purpose of interring it with a deceased individual. The law takes effect September 1, 2025.
