Texas HB1650 amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow a surety to file a special bill of review within four years of a final judgment of forfeiture of a bail bond. This special bill of review may request the court to reform the final judgment and remit all or part of the bond amount to the surety, after deducting court costs, county costs for returning the principal, and accrued interest. The court has discretion to grant or deny the bill in whole or in part.
