Texas HB1563 amends the Health and Safety Code to make tier two forms that list hazardous chemicals confidential and not subject to public disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code. These forms, held by political subdivisions, can only be released if the information has been made publicly available by the commission or if the information released only states the name of a class of dangerous goods under the hazard classification system used in the 2024 Emergency Response Guidebook published by the United States Department of Transportation. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
