Texas HB1306 amends the Government Code to provide benefits for public safety employees and death investigation professionals exposed to contagious diseases. Public safety employees and death investigation professionals exposed to contagious diseases are entitled to reimbursement for reasonable medical expenses from their employing governmental entity. These professionals are also entitled to preventative immunization for any disease to which they may be exposed in performing their duties and for which immunization is possible.
