SB2722 modifies the election process for the Mayor and Councilmen of Ashland City, Tennessee. Beginning January 1, 2026, a Mayor and six Councilmen will be elected, with two Councilmen from each of the three wards. Elections will be nonpartisan, and the terms will begin in September following their election. Vacancies will be filled by the duly elected Town Council members. The act requires approval by a two-thirds vote of the legislative body of Ashland City.
