SB2704 amends Morristown's city charter to extend terms of certain council members and the mayor, and requires voter approval.

SB2704 amends the City of Morristown's charter to extend the terms of council members and the mayor who were elected in May 2021 and May 2023. Council members from the first and third wards, and the at-large position, will remain in office until their successors are elected and seated. Similarly, the mayor and council members from the second and fourth wards, and the at-large position, will stay in their roles until successors are elected and seated.
