This bill creates the office of County Attorney for Hamblen County, establishing that the County Attorney will be elected annually by the Hamblen County Commission. The County Attorney is entitled to an annual retainer fee of Twelve Hundred Dollars, paid in monthly installments, and additional compensation for legal services performed on behalf of the County. All compensation and reimbursement are subject to review by the County Legislative Body. The bill requires approval by a two-thirds vote of the Hamblen County legislative body to take effect.
