Amends the charter of the Town of Stanton to update its powers and authorities.

The bill amends the charter of the Town of Stanton to update its powers and authorities. It grants the town the power to impose fines and forfeitures for violations of town ordinances, enforce order in the court, and collect fines, costs, and forfeitures. The judge of the town court is authorized to impose monetary penalties for ordinance violations, up to the amount allowed by state law, in addition to court costs. The town is empowered to assess, levy, and collect taxes, make special assessments for local improvements, contract and be contracted with, and incur debts by borrowing money.
