Tennessee SB2645 amends constable requirements, mandating training academy graduation for new constables from August 1, 2030.

Tennessee SB2645 amends the Tennessee Code to revise constable qualifications. Effective August 1, 2030, constables must graduate from a Tennessee POST-approved certified law enforcement training academy. This requirement does not apply to constables who have served one complete term and are reelected. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
