This bill creates the State Family Advisory Board within the Department of Correction. The Board, composed of nine members who are family members of incarcerated individuals, will advise on fostering communication between the Department and family members, strengthening family reunification efforts, building stronger families and communities upon reentry, and providing feedback on department activities.
