Tennessee SB2402 amends state law to require the Tennessee Department of Children's Services to record all interviews with children conducted as part of investigations into claims of abuse, dependency, and neglect. These recordings can be either audio or video. Exceptions to this recording requirement include instances where the employee believed the interview was being recorded but technical issues prevented it, or unforeseen circumstances made recording impossible. The failure to record an interview does not impact the admissibility of any statements or evidence from the interview.
