Tennessee SB2370 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 55, to redefine vehicular homicide by including extreme and excessive speed as a factor. The bill defines "extreme and excessive rate of speed" as traveling more than twenty miles per hour over the posted speed limit. It also specifies that vehicular homicide under this new condition is a Class B felony. The changes take effect on July 1, 2026.
